When I first bought my Vegusto cheese online, I waited with excitement for it to arrive .

One: because every other cheese for vegans in the UK was soya based ( and we don't have soya if we can help it , due to my son being intolerant and me breast feeding him)
Two I am Was a massive cheese fan .

What is Vegusto? It's a ethically sourced, plant-based cheese alternatives. Free from bad cholesterol, lactose, casein and animal based ingredients, their No-Moo cheeses have far fewer calories than conventional cheese.

When I tried Vegusto for the first time in may 2012 I wasn't sure what I thought, so tried it melted the second time, it was delicious . A different texture to dairy cheese , (not in a bad way , just different )

If your a Daiya cheese fan, I highly recommend you try it . I absolutely love it, it's so so tasty, and freely avalible in the UK from Vegusto and Wholefoods Market.

I've had it in jacket potatoes , ( insides scooped out & grated and popped back in, on salads, pasta, in pasta sauces and on cauliflower .

When you put it in the oven it kind of firms up a little on the outside, and goes lovely and gooey in the middle .

But, my favourite way of eating this soya dairy free cheese is in a sandwich with pineapple , cherry tomatoes and chives in a toastie sandwich maker ...... Oh my goodness ! Like a mini pizza !
